School Community Service
Middle and high school students (ages 13–17) can complete required service hours through our School Community Service Saturdays.
- Held once per month
- Focus on support tasks (limited animal interaction)
- No walk-ins

- October 18, 2025 (Sign-ups open September 13)
- November 15, 2025 (Opens October 18)
- January 17, 2026 (Opens December 21)
- February 14, 2026 (Opens January 18)
- March 14, 2026 (Opens February 15)
- April 18, 2026 (Opens March 15)
- May 9, 2026 (Opens April 10)
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
To reserve your spot, email volunteer@vbspca.com during the sign-up period (opens one month before each session).
Spots are limited and fill quickly. No walk-ins will be accepted.
Requirements
- Submit a liability waiver (once per school year)
- Provide proof of school service requirement
Important Guidelines
- Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes
- No cell phone use during shifts
- Stay with assigned chaperone at all times
- Must participate fully to receive service hours
